Oh what a feeling..

    As I layed wide awake this morning at 4am.. I believe I felt the first movement of our being! I'm about 90% sure! I was pushing on my tummy and felt the slightest nudge.. Followed by a very slight twirlling sensation! Regardless, it made me smile! Tomorrow marks 16w.... can't believe it's been 4 whole months.. we're 40% through!

Ps: I'm so craving my aunt Marla's fresh rolls w/ pb... Yummmm

Apparent growth spurt!

     Well here I am... Laying in bed.. wide awake since 330am. The 6-7 hours of sleep I got, I feel I tossed and turned.. went pee 3-4 times.. just couldn't get comfortable. Sometime around 4am I decided to open one of my many pregnancy apps.. low and behold I discovered our lil being is going through a growth spurt! Right now my uterus is just between the top of my pelvis and my belly button... by 20w it'll be at my belly button.. that's A LOT of growth going on now through the next 4 weeks! On top of that I am a total stomach sleeper.. last night was still no problem.. suddenly tonight .. it's a problem! :( I've decided that today I'm going to shell out some $ for a pregnancy body pillow!

      Besides the lack of comfort at night.. everything else is great! The nausea seems to be almost gone.. except the mornings I work! I think the 4 days I have off my body adjusts to the slow moving morning.. whereas when I work ... it's more fast paced and not so easy on the tummy.. Eck!

      6 more days till I hear the sweet sound of "whoosh whoosh whoosh" .. Best. Sound. Everrrrr. <3

How far along? 15w 2d (stand by.. this may change!) 
Total weight gain/loss: I lost 5 in the beginning..and am not back to my "norm"
Maternity clothes? Yes.. pants...regular jeans no longer cut it!
Stretch marks? Nope from this being!
Sleep: Pretty good now.. awful in the beginning
Best moment this week: being on vacation.. need some darn rest!

building.. growing.. waiting!

     Well today marks 15w/16w (I add the 16 cause i've constantly measured a wk ahead (They won't change my due date until my 20wk US)... I even got to skip the last wk of my 1st trimester.. which was awesome!). Last Mon. I had to make a trip to the OB (nothing serious.. just a lil women issue) :). Anyways.. at this appt. I got to hear our lil beings HB (155bpm).. It was amazing to say the least! I began to tear.. the midwife became very concerned and said "155.. that's good!" I then said "I know... it's just the first time I have heard the hb through a doppler" ... she of course smiled and said well.. it's now routine whenever you step foot into this office! :) My next routine visit is in 10 days.... hoping it continues to fly by!

     It still boggles my mind that there's a lil human inside me... I lay in bed just rubbing and staring at my lower abdomen.. <3. This lil being is already soooooo loved by its mommy and daddy... I can't imagine the love that'll be shared once he/she is in our arms!

     Speaking of  Ryan... he's been creative!

      He has just recently started building a toy box.... because of course this child will be spoiled! :)

I am finally feeling about 90% better (nausea)... and am now wearing maternity pants (gap..is by far the best) Not so much because I couldn't squeeze into my jeans... but because the tightness of jeans on my lower abdomen is simply not desirable! Other then that... I can't wait to feel this lil being move.. i'm hoping for some movement by mid Nov (1/2 way between my next appt and my 20wk US on Nov. 29th).. I also am anxious for the world to know we're expecting. I figure in about 7 wks or so... i'll send out our x-mas/pregnancy gift/announcement... it's crazy to think i'll be 22wk+ and more the 1/2 through this pregnancy... I can't wait to give everyone their big "surprise".

WOW... Time is flying! I can't believe it's already been over a week since I last posted and a week since my last appointment!

 Let's just say there are no words to describe the feeling I had during this appointment! Not only was this lil bean moving all over, it's little heart was beating at 165bpm, AND opening and closing it's lil hand! I went into the appointment being 12w3d and our lil one was measuring 13w2d and just about 3in long! It's so amazing... I mean just look at the picture below... the growth is incredible!

Today I officially bought my first pair of maternity pants... I know i'm not "showing" but this belly isn't smooshing into jeans like it use to.. and If I could .. it would be SOOO uncomfortable! I went to the Gap to check out there jeans and was pretty hesitant buying a $70 pair of jeans.. but thought to hell with it. At check out the girl said that if you use your Gap CC you'll save 30% (all weekend).. I thought why not.. so I got the jeans AND a cute shirt for less than the cost of the jeans. On top of that.. I got a 10% coupon to use for 60 days.. so all weekend I can save 40% off all my purchases.. I see some shopping being done tomorrow!!

Don't mind the super white belly... but I LOVE these pants! Comfy!!

Well... that's all the news for now! Things are moving right along.. I have another appointment in 3 weeks (Nov 1) where ill get to hear the heartbeat for sure.. and maybe another sneak peak.. If not, we only have 7 more weeks (Nov 29) til our "detailed" anatomy scan! <3

Holy Moly....

I won't lie... I have bought a "few" things for the baby... I have literally spent less than $20 at a few thrift stores on some unisex items.. thinking i'd better pick up what I can.. when I can.. since unisex is actually pretty hard to find (since we're not finding out the sex.. of course). Anyways... I came home today and decided to go look through the things my sister has handed down to me. Well... lets just say I forgot that her children's sex was also a surprise.... JACKPOT!! I seriously do not need ANYTHING for the first couple months... which this should ease the pain for my friends who are anxious to buy clothes... they'll have some time after I give birth!

Other then this discovery... nothing new has really occurred! Same as last blogged... though my appt is now in 70 hours!! I can not wait!
